My Story - A Kaleidoscope

I would describe my story as a kaleidoscope, it is ever-shifting, colorful, and shaped by the light and angle through which it’s viewed. At the heart of who I am is an artist. I create through film, music, writing, and performance. Since childhood, I’ve carried a notebook filled with poetry and lyrics, acted out my own imaginary films, and expressed a deep desire to connect, heal, and uplift others through creative work.

My professional journey began in New York City, where I’ve worked with diverse communities across countless settings: homeless shelters, hospitals, detox and rehab centers, supportive housing, criminal courts, vocational programs, and both in-home and office-based therapy. I’ve supported people through some of life’s most complex challenges, and those experiences have shaped me into a compassionate leader, trainer, and program developer. My culturally rich background—American, Hispanic, and West Indian—along with my real-world experience, allows me to relate to individuals from all walks of life.

My vision is to create work that heals. I aim to produce therapeutic workbooks, meaningful films, soul-stirring music, and other creative tools that bring light and transformation. My gifts are not meant to be wasted or withheld—they’re meant to serve.

I’m a Christian, not simply in name or tradition, but in the way I strive to live—with love, empathy, and action. People often call me a “very good therapist” and “a great leader,” but I believe it’s my compassion that leaves the deepest impact.

Above all, I am a survivor. I have overcome colon cancer and many personal trials that have only sharpened my sense of purpose. Every challenge has added another turn in the kaleidoscope—revealing more color, more depth, and more beauty than I ever imagined.

Using evidence-based treatments doesn’t take away from being creative. In fact, being creative helps me tailor the treatment to fit each person, instead of trying to make people fit into a set approach

MY ART

Anxious, foot tappin,

know somethings bout to happen.

Sadness flooding over the helm,

overwhelm

from another realm,

of my mind fuss with time...

shoulda happened already.

Palms sweaty, legs spaghetti,

unassembled, unready

Mentally inverted thoughts grow hands,

feelings grow wings, I can barely stand

Racing thoughts tediously,

make loops of things that happened

previously

to me.
